A Former Deputy Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt Honourable Abdulwasi Musah, PhD, has extended warm felicitations to the Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his historic coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Musah also congratulated Oba Ladoja on his birthday, marking a significant milestone in the monarch’s life.
He said these in a congratulatory message made available to newsmen on Thursday, in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
“Oba Ladoja’s coronation marks not just a continuation of our rich cultural heritage but also the dawn of renewed hope, wisdom, and unity for Ibadanland,” Musah said,
Musah, a former Chairman of the Oyo state House of Assembly Service Commission emphasized the significance of Oba Ladoja’s coronation, noting that his unique experience as a businessman, an elder statesman and a former Governor of Oyo State will add immense value to the traditional institution.
He urged indigenes and residents of Ibadanland and Oyo State to rally behind the new monarch, uphold unity, and work collectively to strengthen the legacy of Ibadan as a city of culture, resilience, and greatness.
As the Olubadan-designate prepares to ascend the throne, Musah prayed for long life, good health, and wisdom for Oba Ladoja, wishing him a successful and prosperous reign.
“May your reign be long, prosperous, and marked by peace, wisdom, and development for Ibadanland and beyond,” Musah added.
The coronation of Oba Ladoja has generated widespread interest, with many stakeholders expressing optimism about the future of Ibadanland under his leadership.
