The Governorship Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Oyo State, Bimbo Adekanbi, has extended warm Eid-el-Kabir greetings to the Muslim Ummah and residents of Oyo State.
Bimbo Adekanbi felicitated Governor Seyi Makinde for the efforts he has put in place to reposition Oyo State.
He noted that without Governor Makinde’s support for security agencies, the state would have fallen under greater security threat.
The gubernatorial candidate expressed confidence in Governor Seyi Makinde’s efforts to ensure that the hostages are rescued unhurt.
He used the opportunity to extend greetings to the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Bayo Lawal; the Oyo State Obas-in-Council led by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasidi Ladoja; the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdulganiy Agbotomokekere; and all Imams and Alfas in the seven geopolitical zones of the state.
He also felicitated religious leaders, including the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Alh. Daud Akinola; the Babasale Musulumi, Alh. Nureni Akanbi; and other leaders of thought.
“As we reflect and deepen our faith in honoring the significant act of devotion demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim, let us continue praying for the safe return of our children in captivity,” he said.
Bimbo Adekanbi prayed for continued peace and harmony in Oyo State, and for the strength to always be willing to sacrifice to Almighty Allah and submit to His will and command at all times.
