As Nigerian Muslims join the rest of the world to celebrate 2022 Eid-l-Fitr, the Federation of Muslim Women Associations in Nigeria, FOMWAN, Oyo State Chapter has asked Islamic faithful to imbibe the teachings and lessons of the just concluded 30days fast in their day-to-day activities.
Oyo FOMWAN in a congratulatory message issued in Ibadan to mark the Eid celebration said thirst and abstinence from food had ended and it was time for Muslims to thank Allah and rejoice for the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan.
The statement signed by Oyo FOMWAN Amirah, Alhaja (Dr) B.B Oloso said with the series of spiritual activities embarked upon by millions of Nigerian Muslims during the month, the nation would witness positive transformation and a better tomorrow.
” The entire members of FOMWAN, Oyo State Chapter is using this medium to felicitate with our Muslim brothers and sisters on the just concluded Ramadan. Alhamdulillah for another 30days of spiritual cleansing and rejuvenation.
” Since Allah has commanded that we call upon Him all the time and with the special blessings and mercies of Ramadan, we are convinced that our supplications for ourselves, families, friends, Oyo State and Nigeria at large have been accepted and answered. I want to urge us to rejoice, have fun and bask in the euphoria of the rare privilege of a successful participation in another 30days fast ” Alhaja Oloso said
She called on Nigerians to inculcate the lessons and teachings of Ramadan in their daily life adding that this will help rid the country of the various social vices which have pervaded every nook and cranny of the nation.
” The onus lies on everyone to imbibe the teachings of the glorious month of Ramadan. We attended and organized various religious gatherings, participated in several acts of worship and righteousness in our homes and our mosques, we shared our foods with our neighbors and the needy and there was solemnity everywhere. We should let the spirit continue. At this stage in our country, we all must rise up to say no to all forms of social maladies and maladministration. May Allah heal our lands. ” Oyo Amirah FOMWAN prayed.
The statement also congratulated the national body of the Association led by Hajia Rafi’ah Idowu Sanni on this year’s Ramadan.
