The chairmanship aspiration of Akinloluwa Akinbode for Egbeda Local Government on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, has received a significant boost following a strong endorsement from descendants, youths and party faithfuls from Owobale village who have openly declared their support for his candidacy ahead of the forthcoming local government elections.
During the consultative meeting, speakers took turns to commend Akinbode’s boldness, citing his family records and now, his determination to identify with his origin, Owobale and Ward 3 after years of which the ward had been marginalized politically. They described his aspiration as timely and reflective of the growing demand for purposeful and people-oriented leadership within Egbeda.
The stakeholders noted that Akinbode’s emergence represents a generational shift towards inclusive governance, innovation and responsiveness, adding that his understanding of local challenges and commitment to development position him as a credible choice for the chairmanship seat.
In a unanimous show of support, youth representatives at another consultative meeting expressed confidence in Akinbode’s leadership potential, pledging to mobilize actively across zones in the ward and across the local government to ensure the success of his campaign. They emphasized the need for a leader who is accessible, energetic and aligned with the aspirations of young people within the local government.
Party faithfuls also reaffirmed their backing, citing his loyalty, contributions, services and dedication to the growth and stability of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the grassroots level. According to them, his consistent support for party activities and unity efforts has earned him widespread respect among members.
Akinbode expressed deep appreciation to the people of Owobale for their confidence in his vision and leadership. He described the show of support as both humbling and encouraging, noting that it reinforces his resolve to serve with integrity, dedication and a clear focus on development.
