The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Oyo State, Chief Luqman Oyebisi Ilaka has felicitated with all Christians on the celebration of Easter which he described as a commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Ilaka made this known in a statement made available to newsmen on Sunday.
According to him, “Easter is a time of joy and symbolizes new beginnings.”
He urged the good citizens of Oyo State to reflect on the lessons to be learnt from the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ which included the piety, obedience to higher authority, self sacrifice for the good of others, redemption, salvation and the ultimate triumph of good over evil.
He further ceased the opportunity to appreciate the good people of Oyo State for their cooperation with the pace-setting Governor, H.E. Engr. Seyi Makinde (FNSE) and assure them that governance in Oyo State will continue to be people-centered.
He also implored political leaders in the country to wake to the security challenges in the country and work painstakingly towards good governance.
