Arc. Hassan Giwa, the founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation has enjoined Christians in Lagelu/Akinyele federal constituency and Oyo State in general to imbibe the culture of living for sacrifice.
The APC chieftain, in his Easter message congratulated Christians for the successful completion of this year’s Lent Fasting.
While charging Nigerians to be hopeful for a better tomorrow, he acknowledged that situation of things in the country calls for sober reflection.
“Easter signifies the essence on our Christians faith because Jesus Christ made the supreme sacrifice. I want to advice Nigerians not to be discouraged from serving God despite all challenges confronting us as a nation.
“Despite the tribulations confronted Jesus Christ, He continued to serve God. I want to urge Christians to emulate the humility, love, selfless service and sacrifice demonstrated by Jesus Christ,” Giwa said.
The HOG Foundation founder admonished Christian faithful to live a life of positive impact in the society and ensure peaceful co-existence among other religion faithful.
“This is not a season of religion, ethnic or tribal rivalry, rather it is a season to promote love and peace to ensure that everybody irrespective of religion, ethnic or tribal background lives in unity and show good neighbourliness to one another.”
He appealed to them to use the occasion of Easter season to engage in more prayers for the nation.
