The management of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo, has announced the appointment of Mr. Emmanuel Oluninyo Adegoke as the College Acting Bursar.
This followed the demise of the former Bursar, Alhaji Lukman A. Opasina, JP who died on Thursday, 25 June, 2020.
According to a letter with reference no- EACOED/Y/R/SS/PF/556/197 signed by the Registrar, Alh. Teslim Ladimeji Adediran, J.P, the appointment takes effect from July 2, 2020. He is to oversee the Bursary Operations as approved by the Hon. Commissioner for Education, Oyo State, Barr. Olasunkanmi Aremu Olaleye until a substantive officer is appointed.
Emmanuel Oluninyo Adegoke a native of Ibadan from Oluyole Local Government was born on September 9, 1966. He attended Adekile Goodwill Grammar School, Ibadan where he graduated in 1981. He proceeded to The Polytechnic, Ibadan for both his Ordinary and Higher National Diploma Certificates and graduated in 1985 and 1996 respectively. A goal getter, Emmanuel Oluninyo Adegoke obtained a Certificate in Computer Education at Ladun Institute of Computer Education, Ibadan in 1995 while participating in the mandatory one year NYSC programme before capping it with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Calabar in 2006. Professionally, Adegoke proceeded to the Nigerian College of Accountancy where he became Certified with ANAN in 2010.
Having worked in some private establishments, Emmanuel Oluninyo Adegoke officially joined the service of St. Andrew’s College of Education, Oyo (now Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo) on February 9, 1998 as an Accountant II Officer. He rose through the ranks to become a Chief Accountant having worked in every section of the Bursary. He was formerly Head, Reconciliation Unit; Head, Treasury/Cash Unit; Head, Students Accounts; Head, Final Accounts; Assistant Director (Finance), Full-Time Degree until his appointment as the College Acting Bursar.
A man of many parts, Emmanuel Oluninyo is an Associate Member, ANAN and happily married to Mrs. Funmi Adegoke and the marriage is blessed with upward mobile children.
In a related development, the College Management has through another letter signed by the College Registrar, Alh. Teslim L. Adediran, J.P announced the appointment of Mr. Michael Abiodun Dairo as the new College Internal Auditor. His appointment takes effect from July 1, 2020.
DAIRO, Michael Abiodun was born on December 17, 1968 in Ibadan. He hails from Akinyele Local Government of Oyo State.
Dairo, Michael Abiodun had his primary education at St. Cyprian Primary School, Oke-Ofa, Ibadan between 1974-1980 before moving down to Ikolaba Grammar School, GRA, Agodi, Ibadan for his secondary education between 1981-1986.
Skippo as he is fondly called was admitted to the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 1988 and graduated in 1995 with a B.Sc Accounting. He later attended the Federal School of Surveying, Oyo (Human Resources Centre) for an Advanced Diploma in Management Information System in 1999. He is an Associate Member, Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (2005) and Associate Member, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (2011).
Dairo, Michael Abiodun started his working career as a Graduate Assistant (Youth Corp) at the College of Education, Azare, Bauchi State, Audit Trainee at Bisi Dawodu & Co (Chartered Accountants), Ibadan and later appointed as an Accountant II at Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo (formerly St. Andrew’s College of Education, Oyo) where he has risen through the ranks to the position of a Chief Accountant.
Skippo, a Footballer of repute has contributed immensely in field of sports particularly football. He has won many laurels. He was the immediate past Treasurer and the current Chairman of the Senior Staff Union in Colleges of Education (SSUCOEN, EACOED CHAPTER). He is equally the Treasurer, Profess Cooperative Society CICS Ltd., Oyo among other posts.
A proud family man, Dairo Michael Abiodun is happily married and the union is blessed with children.
