The event which was the 6th edition was held at Baptist Grammar School Ayete, Ibarapa.

In his welcome address, Olohunwa as he is foundly called explained that the foundation is a non profit, non governmental organization established in the years back with sole aim of uplifting the old and young people of Ibarapa zone through community services, empowerment, growth and development oriented activities.

His words: “Having understood that the future of a society lies in the hand of her youths, the Organization kicked started her activities by focusing on widows, the young secondary school leavers of Ibarapa land.

“We sponsored, groomed and nursed 1000 students for Computer BASED 2021 UTME examination. There was tutorial to prepare these students and Mock examination was conducted for them where those who passed excellently were selected across all the local government of Ibarapa land and their Jamb Forms were fully funded. The top scorers in the UTME were selected and are under the mentorship of DBF till date”

“We also brought smile in the faces of thousands of farmers across all the local governments in Ibarapa by empowering them with seedlings of grains such as rice and maize in sufficient quantities. Financial aide was also provided for the scores of farmers so as to ease their farming processes.”

He spoke about some of the things the foundation has done in the past saying  the foundation also made people smile during various festivals.

He said: “Aside these, the organization also made people smile during all the various religions festivals as clerics and dignitaries were selected across Ibarapa as Beneficiaries of Festival support of the organization.

“The foundation is among the leading voices of the people when it comes to calling the government of the day to order and providing and suggesting practical solutions to various problems ravaging the land of Ibarapa in general.

“There are various testimonies from people who have benefitted from one program of DBF or the other. Seeing people live a good and living above poverty level has always been the vision of the Foundation. And The founder will not stop at nothing to ensure this come to fruition.

“Like it’s stated earlier, everything that’s been done at DBF is not politically motivated and it’s purely our means of giving back to the society that made us.”

Tradition rulers, religion leaders, students and other beneficiaries shower encomium on him and his family for supporting the young and the widow in the society and promised to make judicious use of the items given.
