The Honourable representing Ibarapa East state constituency, Debo Ogundoyin on Wednesday paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor-elect, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
This was made known in a release on the official Facebook Page of the Deputy Governor-elect, Rauf Olaniyan.
It reads, “To enhance smooth governance both Executive and Legislator with Judiciary arms of government have to rub minds together.
“Today, I received Hon Ogundoyin Debo representing Ibarapa East constituency and we both share much ideas and plans for the betterment and for good governance comes May 29th.”
Debo who won his reelection bid in the just concluded State House of Assembly election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is one of the strong contenders for the office of the speaker of the 9th Assembly.
An insider who confided in insideoyo.com said his speakership ambition is one of the main reasons for today’s visitation.
“Yes, Hon Debo paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor-elect today. One major thing they discuss is his speakership ambition. And other issues about governance.”
Recall that Ogundoyin came from the same state constituency with the Late Oyo Assembly speaker, Rt Hon Micheal Adeyemo.
