Next Saturday, 21st July 2018, all roads in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital will lead to the Palms Mall, Ring road, as rave-of-the-moment and DMW signee, Mayorkun a.k.a Mayor of Lagos will hold his ‘Ibadan Concert’ with compliments from his label mates and industry friends.
Already, fun lovers around Oyo State have been anticipating the event which has been tagged ‘The Mid-year shutdown’ by the presenters of the event, The Ibadan Countdown Festival Company (IBCF). According to a partner of the IBCF, Alfred Emeka, “We are pleased the present such an event to the pacesetter state.
Davido, Mayorkun and the DMW gang have been so gracious as to partner us for the event which is the first of its kind this year. Remember we had the Mavins and friends last December and the IBCF has positioned itself as the convener of the biggest events in Oyo State.
This particular concert is the first mid year event that we are holding and it will build up expectations to the countdown festival that will hold in December. We want to prove that Ibadan can host the biggest events. Our people are fun loving and brands can take advantage to showcase”, he said.
Mayorkun, on his online page had promised an experience like no other, urging his fans to troop out en-masse for the one of a kind concert.
“Brothers, sisters, fans, family, come out on the 21st and let’s shutdown this concert together. I am coming with a lot of surprises guys’, he said.
Davido, in his posts has also corroborated Mayorkun, saying, “Ibadan, expect fire”.
The Ibadan Concert will see Mayorkun, Davido, Peruzzi, Dremo, Yonda, Idowest, Slimcase, Skales, LAX, Small Doctor, Oyinkanade, Sheun Natural, Sade Blaq, among many others take turns to thrill an expected capacity crowd. The event is free.
