The DAKA Foundation has congratulated its Founder/ Chief Executive Officer, Dr Kazeem Adesina Abidikugu popularly known as KSO on award of excellence bestowed on him by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) as the Champion of Ibadan Culture and his contributions to the development of Ibadanland.
The award was received on behalf of Abidikugu on Monday, 12th May 2025 in Ibadan by Prof. Olumide Olajide who is the Director of Strategy, Planning and Programme Development of DAKA Foundation.
The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) which is the apex body of all Socio-cultural Clubs, Societies, Unions, Associations of all Ibadan Indigenes in all spheres of life, home and abroad had in a letter written and signed by the CCII President-General, Chief Sulaiman Ajeniyi Ajewole and Chairman, Ibadan Week Festival Planning Committee, Chief Abiola Alli said the Council is concerned and committed to the sustenance of the cultural heritage and economic development of Ibadanland.
It further said that it is pleased to inform Abidikugu that it will like to confer on him the Champion of Ibadan Culture.
CCII said the award is in recognition of Abidikugu, who is Nigerian UK based Psychiatric Consultant, immense contributions to the growth and development of Ibadanland.
DAKA Foundation in a statement on Tuesday signed by its Director of Strategy, Planning and Programme Development, Prof. Olumide Olajide said the award is well appreciated and a sign of recognition of Abidikugu’s contribution to the development of Ibadanland.
It congratulated Abidikugu, saying the award will spur him to do more for Ibadanland and for the beneficiaries of his philanthropic gestures.
