Oyo state has recorded 20 new cases of Coronavirus as the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State as at Wednesday, July 29 reached 2,688.
Governor Seyi Makinde, who is also the chairman of Oyo COVID-19 taskforce, stated this on Thursday, in a series of tweets.
According to the governor, twenty-three confirmed COVID-19 cases received their second NEGATIVE test results and have been discharged.
“This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to 1208.”
“Also, the COVID-19 confirmation tests for twenty suspected cases came back POSITIVE.
“The cases are from Ibadan North (6), Akinyele (4), Ibadan South West (3), Ido (3), Oluyole (2), Ibadan North East (1) and Egbeda (1) Local Government Areas.”
The governor expressed appreciation to Fidelity Bank for donating medical supplies and Foodco for the COVID-19 awareness billboard at Bodija market to assist the government’s effort to curtail the spread of COVID-19.
