Coronavirus confirmed cases in Oyo state has risen to 162 as the state recorded 19 new cases on Wednesday, insideoyo.com reports.
The pace setter state also discharged 2 patients after testing negative twice. This brings the number of discharged patients to 48
The chairman of Covid-19 task force who doubles as the Governor of the state, Engineer Seyi Makinde made this known in a tweet on his verified twitter account.
Makinde said 15 of the cases are from iSON Xperiences in Ibadan South West Local Government Area (LGA),2 are from Ido LGA and 1 is from Ibadan South East LGA.
His words “Two confirmed COVID-19 patients have received their second NEGATIVE test results and have been discharged.
“This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to forty-eight.
“Also, the COVID-19 confirmation tests for nineteen suspected cases came back POSITIVE.
“Fifteen are from iSON Xperiences in Ibadan South West Local Government Area (LGA), 2 are from Ido LGA and 1 is from Ibadan South East LGA.
“So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State is 162.
