A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC and gubernatorial aspirant in Oyo State, Dr Usman Ololade Bakare has joined notable sons and daughters of Ibadanland to congratulate His Imperial Majesty, Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja ARUSA 1, on his emergence as the Chairman Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs.
Dr Bakare hails the decision of Òyó State Government, to resolve over 15 years issue by announcing Oba Ladoja to chair Council of Obas and Chiefs for the next two years.
The cyber security expert said the emergence of Olubadan is well-deserved and a recognition of a lifetime of service, wisdom and commitment to preserve cherished traditions and values of Oyo State.
Dr Bakare said that the announcement of Olubadan by Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde comes at a moment when the collective voice of traditional institutions is vital to fostering unity, peace and sustainable development across Oyo State.
Dr Bakare noted that Oba Ladoja within the short time he ascended the throne of his forebears has consistently demonstrated humility, maturity and deep respect for culture which earned respect as a revered monarch beyond Ibadanland.
He described the appointment of Oba Ladoja as not only a personal honour but also a source of immense pride to people of Ibadanland and Yoruba nation. He called for the cooperation of other traditional leaders in Oyo State as Oba Ladoja brings his wealth of experience, and moral authority to promote harmony and royal fathers advancing the collective interest of Oyo State traditional system.
