It was a day of accountability on Tuesday in Oyo town as Akeem Adeyemi, lawmaker representing AFIJIO/Atiba/Oyo East/Oyo West federal constituency reeled out his achievements.
Traditional, religious, political, community leaders as well as traders who attended the event showered encomium on the Oyo prince, who they described as man of the people.
At the Ọba Lamidi Adeyemi III mini stadium, venue of the event, Skimeh, as the three-term member of the house of representatives is known, said he has facilitated road construction, ICT centres as well as financial empowerments among others.
The achievements, according to the All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain, were those he has just done in the first three months of his third term in office which began in June.
Among the road construction facilitated and tarred by Skimeh were the Kosobo to Awe; Galiliee to Olose, Awe town; Boroboro-Oke Modina- Oyagbe- School of Science Road as well as Oriawo road.
In the area of education and technology, the chairman of the house of representatives’ committee of agricultural colleges and institutions, said he has brought more ICT centres to Oyo federal constituency with new ones located inside the premises of the School of Science Oyo; Ilora Community Commercial High School and at St Francis Catholic College Oyo.
At yesterday’s event, 500 people who were drawn from among the artisans, farmers, market men and women were supported with N50,000 each
Speaking with journalists, Skimeh said he would continue to see to the empowerment of his people.
