More than 60 small and medium scale enterprises'(SMEs) owners were exposed to problem-solving skills; financials and relationship management and others at the four-day business master class workshop.
The 4-day event which took place last week was organised by Clappahouse Analytics limited featured several small scale manufacturers and other business owners in the city of Ibadan.
Mukaila Ayuba, convener, SME specialist, and financial consultant, told InsideOyo.com over the weekend, that the objective of the workshop is to give a formal training necessary for the participants to thrive in their various ventures.
“The workshop addressed several issues and risks which has become major factors mitigating against the success of SME in Nigeria with a specific focus on Oyo state.
“Entrepreneurship is the first step towards industrialization. If any society would survive, special attention should be given to the start-ups and SMEs.”
Ayuba added, “The participants were exposed to real-life experience through role-play and diagnostic session in addressing the various issues affecting them in their ventures.”
The organizer said 62 SME business owners were taken through effective problem-solving skills; how to understand their Financials; relationship management and the impact of Customer Relationship Management System; how to negotiate effectively in business transactions. They are further exposed to the various programs, which the government has provided to help lock manufacturers.
The facilitators include Mr David Jones (business consultant), Mr Nofiu Tunji (technology incubation centre), Mr Daniel Ikuenobe (Senior Special Adviser to the President on Economy Recovery), Mr Joshua Olaniyi (Financial Consultant).
