Nigerian civic entrepreneur and co-founder of BudgIT, Seun Onigbinde, this morning expressed concerns on how his mother was unable to attended to at the University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan due to the ongoing solidarity by doctors in Oyo State.
The state branch of Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, had earlier declared a three-day warning strike over unfair treatment of doctors at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology,LAUTECH, Teaching Hospital. The strike became effective from Wednesday, January 10.
Tweeting via his Twitter handle this morning, the Ogbomoso-born civic entrepreneur revealed how his mother consulted UCH to interpret test result but was denied that due to the ongoing strike.
He tweeted: ‘Mum goes to hospital – UCH – to interpret test result. She learns Nigerian doctors are on three-day warning strike.’
Onigbinde, whose organization breaks government\’s budgets for simplified understanding for illiterate Nigerians ended a posed question: “Can we just make Nigeria great for once?”.
‘To add, the aged woman just retired as a primary school teacher in late 2017,’ he added.
