Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has sent a bill establishing the state’s Anti Corruptipn Agency to the House Of Assembly.
InsideOyo.com exclusively gathered on Wednesday that the governor signed the copy of the bill at brief ceremony at the Governor’s office.
InsideOyo also gathered the bill has been transmitted to the State House Of Assembly for legislative approval.
At the ceremony include Special Adviser on Legislative Matter, Hon Samuel Adejumo, Chief of Staff, Chief Bisi Ilaka; Deputy Governor, Mr Rauf Olaniyan; Head of Service, Mrs Amidat Agboola; Director General, Due Process, Ms Tara Adefupe and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, Mr W A Gbedegesin at Executive Chamber.
Since May 29, the Makinde-led administration has promised to established the State’s Anti Corruption Agency modeled after the national EFCC.
Governor Makinde had also said he will be willing to drop his immunity for the agency to act without interference.
