The Asigangan of Igangan land in Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo state, Oba Lasisi Olawuyi Adeoye is dead.
Oba Adeoye died on Tuesday.
The chairman of Ibarapa North local government, Hon Lateef Akorede confirmed his death to insideoyo.com in a telephone conversation.
Akorede said the monarch died today adding that he hasn’t been buried.
“Yes, it’s true. Kabieyesi is dead. He died this morning. We are yet to burry him. We just left the hospital not long ago.”
InsideOyo.com recalls that Igangan was in the news recently following an attack by suspected herdsmen, leaving several people killed and many properties destroyed.
The suspected herdsmen attack the palace of the monarch and burnt it.
Residents said the attack commenced at about midnight, leaving several persons dead and properties razed.
