Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan this afternoon defeated Crown FC to win this year’s edition of the Oyo State Football Association Cup.
Goals from Adewale Adigun in the 11th minutes and Abayomi Adebayo (penalty) in the 79th minutes gave the club victory. Crown scored in the 84th minutes to make it 2 goals to one.
For reaching the finals, both clubs, sponsored by the Oyo State government, have qualified for this year’s Federation Cup.
For six consecutive years, both clubs have played in the final of the competition, making it impossible for other rivals to break the streaks.
With the result, both clubs, have won on three occasions each. Crown Football Club won it in 2013, 2014, 2016) while 3SC won it in 2012, 2015 and 2017.
Three red cards were handed to 2 players of Crown FC and one to 3SC.
