A non-governmental organization, Bonuola Vanguard, has distributed school uniforms to over 140 pupils from five different public primary schools in Saki West Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The pupils were selected from the following schools:
1. Pentecostal Basic School, Barracks, Saki
2. Baptist Model Primary School, Ajegunle, Saki
3. First African Primary School, Sango, Saki
4. L.A. Basic School, Isale Taba
5. Baptist Primary School, Kinnikinni
While speaking at the event, the founder of Bonuola Vanguard, Hon. Adekunle Koleosho, stated that the distribution of school uniforms was his way of giving back to the community where he grew up. He urged other wealthy individuals in the community to give back in their own way.
Koleosho advised parents and guardians to make judicious use of the opportunity and take care of the school uniforms for the pupils. He also urged them to send their children to school.
“I love giving, and it’s said that givers never lack,” Koleosho said. “I have been around and have seen the challenges people are facing. In my own little way, I believe giving back to the community where I grew up will be impactful.
“It’s not every wealthy individual that has the heart of giving. Even if you aren’t wealthy, you can still share with people.
“My advice is that anyone blessed by God Almighty should look at it as a blessing meant to be shared with those around them. They should try to give to people, as it’s better to give than to receive.”
Koleosho concluded by urging parents and guardians to ensure the students make good use of the uniforms and to take care of them so they can be useful for the duration of their time in school.
