The First Lady of ATISBO Local Government, Mrs. Nofisat Adeola Alade, has taken a bold step in advocating for the rights of women and girls in the community.
Mrs. Alade, on Tuesday, led a campaign against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in the local government area.
The campaign, which aimed to raise awareness about the scourge of GBV, took the team to various locations, including Tede Roundabout, Owode market, Ago Are motor park and others.
Mrs. Alade was accompanied by other women from the community, who joined forces to condemn GBV and promote a culture of respect and equality.
While speaking, she emphasized the need for collective action to prevent and respond to GBV, and encouraged everyone to play a role in creating a safer and more supportive community.
She commended the First Lady of Oyo state, Engr. Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde for her efforts towards ending GBV.
While announcing the existence of a Justice and Safety Authority for women who experience GBV., she mentioned the Response Care Support System, which is available through the Office of the First Lady of Oyo State, Engr. Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde.
The campaign is part of Mrs. Alade’s efforts to promote the welfare and well-being of women and girls in ATISBO Local Government. By speaking out against GBV, Mrs. Alade hopes to inspire change and create a safer, more inclusive community for all.
