Alhaji Bashir Olumuyiwa Alade, the chairman of ATISBO local government area of Oyo state has, on Monday, assumed office at the local government secretariat in Tede.
This is coming, following the swearing-in ceremony held last Friday where he alongside 32 others were sworn in as the elected chairmen.
Alade who addressed workers, residents, party members within the premises of the local government unveiled the plans of his administration
The former secretary of ATISBO local government sought the maximum cooperation of workers in the local government while pledging to take their welfare as priority.
He said Youth Empowerment won’t be left out in his administration while lamenting the idleness of youth in the country adding that this has pushed them to do all sorts of vices including hard drugs and others.
He recalled when the ATISBO local government farm used to be the food basket of the local government adding that residents trooped out in their numbers to buy farm produce from the local government farm. He promised to revive agriculture under his administration.
While acknowledging Governor Seyi Makinde’s efforts in education, he promised to complement the effort of the governor in the educational sector.
He added that infrastructure which brings development will not be left untouched adding that infrastructure is key in any society yarning for development.
