The Forum of Local Government Chairmen in Oyo State has joined the people of Iseyin, Oke-Ogun and the entire state in celebrating the Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola Adeyeri III, on the second anniversary of his ascension to the throne.
Oba Adeyeri was presented with the Staff of Office by the Oyo State Government on Thursday, December 14, 2023, an event that formally marked his installation as the 30th monarch of the ancient town of Iseyin.
In a statement made available to the press on Sunday, the chairman of the forum, Hon. Sikiru Sanda, and the publicity secretary, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, commended the monarch for his passionate commitment to the growth and development of Iseyin. They noted that Oba Adeyeri’s bold ideas, resilience and purposeful leadership have continued to inspire commendable progress in the town.
The council chairmen also applauded the Aseyin’s open-door policy, which they said has fostered peace, harmony and mutual understanding among residents of Iseyin and its neighbouring communities, while also encouraging investment and development.
“We rejoice with Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola Adeyeri III on the second anniversary of his ascension to the throne of the ancient town of Iseyin. Oba Oyebola is a monarch who exemplifies duty, inspires dedication and remains deeply committed to the service of his people,” the statement read.
According to the forum, the monarch’s unwavering concern for the welfare of his people has rekindled hope and optimism for a better future in the ancient town.
The chairmen further offered prayers for the monarch, urging God Almighty to continue to grant him wisdom, strength and good health to lead his people, while expressing confidence that his reign would continue to record positive transformation and sustainable development for Iseyin and its environs.
