The Political Head of Asabari local council development area and Secretary of Saki West local government area, Hon Kolade Felix Ojo has been sacked.
Inside Oyo Online Newspaper gathered that he was sacked for attending the governorship ambition declaration of Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat under the platform of the Accord party.
This was made known in a statement by the chairman of Saki West local government, Hon Gbenga Akinola on Tuesday.
But Akinola said the decision to sack him was part of ongoing efforts to reposition the Local Government for greater efficiency, accountability, and effective service delivery to the people.
The statement reads: “The Executive Chairman of Saki West Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Akinola has approved the relief of the Secretary of the Local Government, Hon. Kolade Felix Ojo from his post, with immediate effect.
“This decision is part of ongoing efforts to reposition the Local Government for greater efficiency, accountability, and effective service delivery to the people of Saki West.
“The Chairman appreciates the services rendered by the former Secretary and wishes him well in his future endeavours.
“Further directives regarding the administration of the Local Government will be communicated in due course.”
Oriyomi Hamzat, a media entrepreneur and philanthropist, officially declared his intention to run for Oyo State governor in 2027.
