Prince Musliudeen Olaide Akinremi of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has won the Ibadan North federal constituency seat for the second time.
The election of the Ibadan North Federal constituency seat was held in all the 12 wards in the federal constituency on Saturday.
The result of the election was announced on Sunday at the Ikolaba High School in Ibadan. Akinremi, in 2019, won the election on the platform of the APC.
The returning officer, Dr Adeleke Ayodeji Adewole declared the result of the election on Sunday.
He said that Akinremi scored a total of 21,135 votes to defeat his opponents, PDP’s Lanre Sarumi polled 16, 060 votes while Accord’s candidate, Umar Faruk Arisekola-Alao scored 8,108 votes.
Others are AA 171, ADC 571, APGA 163, APP 90, LP 7,779, NNPP 280, PRP 38 and SDP 91.
Adewole speaking further said that the total votes cast stand at 56,798 of which valid votes stand at 54, 436 and 2,362 votes are rejected
