A massive rally was held in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, as stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) reaffirmed their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and pledged to intensify mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The event, held at the Soun Ogunlola Hall, Oja’gbo, Ogbomoso, attracted a wide range of party leaders, elected officials, and grassroots mobilisers, showcasing the party’s renewed unity and strategic alignment in the Ogbomoso zone.
Senator Teslim Folarin, who facilitated the mobilisation, charged party members to take the message of the Renewed Hope Agenda to the grassroots, saying informed party members must educate others on the quality of leadership being offered by President Tinubu.
“Our mission here today is to tell the whole world that APC in Oyo State is fully ready to key into the Renewed Hope Agenda,” Folarin said.
The Oyo State APC Chairman, Alhaji Olayide Abass, commended the resilience and loyalty of party members in Ogbomoso, noting that their commitment was crucial to the party’s determination to reclaim Oyo State.
Former Oyo State First Lady, Mrs Florence Ajimobi, urged party members to promote unity and peace, describing the APC as the only formidable political party in the state.
The rally ended with the formal endorsement of President Tinubu for a second term in office and the reception of hundreds of defectors from other political parties into the APC.
The party has vowed to work together to reclaim Oyo State in 2027, with Senator Ayoade Adeseun assuring supporters that Ogbomoso would vote massively for the APC in the elections.
The event was attended by prominent stakeholders, including Senators Sarafadeen Alli, Yunus Akintunde, and Abdulfatai Buhari, as well as former governorship candidates Chief Adebayo Adelabu and Prince Kayode Oyewumi.
The APC has begun preparations for the 2027 elections, with plans to tour the seven geopolitical zones and fourteen federal constituencies in Oyo State to galvanise grassroots support for President Tinubu and the party.
