A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former aspirant of the House of Representatives in Oyo state, Dr Hassan Olawale Giwa has called on Nigerian youth to utilize the ongoing registration and revalidation exercise as a platform to voice out their opinions as well as to have and create the government of their own.
Giwa made this call while briefing journalists after taking part in the APC registration held at Ward 6 of Lagelu North Local Government Area in Ibadan.
“This is the time for we youth to follow the slogan ‘sorosoke’ as we can provide solutions and the only way to do that is come out and register under All Progressive Congress so that our interests can be well represented. If youth can all come out in each of the local government we have in Oyo state, the candidates of their choice will emerge and that shows sign of responsibilities,” he advised.
He also assured that the current APC is under one umbrella and the party is ready to take over Oyo state in the coming election.
“I have no doubt that come 2023, APC will take over Oyo State and it is not just about taking the leadership of Oyo state but ensuring that right people are put in place in ensuring that lives and property of our people are safe. This is what we are hoping for and calling our people to come out and register so we can collectively make a change.”
“I want to implore our leaders to bow to people’s wish and come together to make sure they do the right thing and not by imposing any candidates.”
Also speaking at the event was the Chairman, All Progressive Congress, Lagelu Local Government Area, Mr Adeleke Kehinde, who said he believe that unity of APC ahead of the upcoming election is for victory as they are putting everything in place in ensuring that power in Oyo state get back to the hand of All Progressive Congress.
