Four days after Senator Teslim Folarin made a surprise visit to Alalubosa residence of Hon. Dapo Lam-Adesina to woo him back to the progressive family, an high-powered delegation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, on Tuesday, had a closed-door meeting with the former federal lawmaker.
Insideoyo.com recalls that Dapo Lam Adesina was the candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC for Ibadan South East/North East Federal Constituency.
He left APC alongside other Unity Forum members to join the ADC.
The Chairman of Oyo APC Elders Advisory Council – Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala and Chief Akin Oke-led Oyo APC Caretaker Committee tasked the delegation to encourage the scion of Great Lam-Adesina and other Lamists across the 33 local Government area of Oyo state to rejoin the party.
The delegation, which is headed by State Secretary of APC – Hon. Mojeed Olaoya, also includes Alhaji Audu Morafa, former Majority Leader of Oyo State House of Assembly – Hon. Kehinde Subar; ex Oyo State Commissioner for Environment – Barr. Lowo Obisesan; Chief Adegoke Adegboyega; two-term Oyo State lawmaker – Hon. Adigun Murphy; ex TCTC chairman – Alhaji Shina Alabi; ex Oyo State Commissioner for Physical Planning – Hon. Deji Akande; Alhaji Yinka Folarin; ex Chairman of Ibadan Southeast local Government area – Hon. Akeem Olatunji Akogun; Oyo South Senatorial Women Leader for APC – Mrs. Taiwo Moteleola; Hon. Tunji Ajimobi; Hon. Abiodun Adeyemo Biddy
Hon Dapo Lam-Adesina expressed surprise that APC leadership could send such a high-powered delegation to reconcile and woo him back into the progressive family that was nurtured by the late former Governor Lam Adesina; adding that, “I have listened to you very attentively and I feel elated to receive people of your caliber – this shows that you hold Lam-Adesina political dynasty in a high esteem”.
The ex Commissioner for Youths and Sports assured the delegation that he would reach out to all the aggrieved Lamists across the state with a view to convincing them to return to the house they built together.
Some of the Lamists in attendance included Alhaji Tajudeen Olorukun who is Oyo South Senatorial Chairman of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Alhaji Wahab Lanase, Chief Ogundeji, Alhaji Adeogun, Alhaja Musili Oluwanran, Com. Babatunde Onilari, Com. Gbade among others.
