A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo state, Engineer Muftau Open Salawu, has sent wishes to Governor Seyi Makinde for quick recovery.
Engr. Open Salawu also used the opportunity to call for collaboration to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, saying the good news is that people are recovering all over the world and Lagos state government has just discharged some patient yesterday.
The APC chieftain stated this in a statement made available to InsideOyo.com on Tuesday morning.
He said, “This is not time for Competition but to be responsive. We as a progressive have no Option than to wish Governor Seyi Makinde quick recovery and the good news is that people are recovering all over the world and Lagos state government has just discharged some patient yesterday.
“We need to listen to the instructions of experts, maintain Social distances, wash your hands regularly and stay at home for this period please.
“It’s not convenient for any body and even the Government but We all have to be responsible to curb the virus. The more organized society are seriously disturbed not to talk of ours, the virus is real and the rate and velocity of contraction is scary and I have beginning to have a doubt if is not airborne although the experts said it mostly through droplets.
“Politics apart, this is the time we all need to come together and help our people. Every community should have a food bank through the traditional rulers which will be onward distributed to the more Vulnerable people in the community.”
Engr Salawu has earlier donated 100 bags of rice, 100 bags of semo and 100 cartons of noodle.
