Governor Seyi Makinde on Saturday morning announced that another member of the Oyo State Executive Council has tested positive for COVID-19.
The new member is among the two inconclusive results.
โOf the two inconclusive results for members of the Oyo State Executive Council, one retest came back positive.
โAlso, the COVID-19 confirmation tests for seventy-six suspected cases came back POSITIVE. The cases are from Ibadan SW (35), Oluyole (12), Ibadan N (12), Egbeda (4), Ibadan NW (3), Lagelu (2), Ibadan SE (2), Ibadan NE (2), Akinyele (1), Saki W (1), Ona Ara (1) & Ido (1) LGAs.”
Meanwhile, the state has discharged 169 patients of coronavirus having tested negative twice and recorded one death.
This brings the number of discharged patients in the state to 508 while the number of Covid-19 related death is now 10.
The governor advised residents to obey guidelines of the COVID-19 Task Force to ensure that the state slow down the spread of coronavirus.
