Former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala has reconciled with the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.
Alao-Akala, who many had believed would rejoin the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had few weeks ago reiterated his love for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, a party the monarch is believed to have sympathy for.
The Ogbomoso-born politician fell out with the monarch in the build up to the 2011 election, which he eventually lost to incumbent Abiola Ajimobi who is completing his second term in office.
Many political observers believed that Alao-Akala would have broken the second term jinx if he had managed the monarch.
Alao-Akala contested the 2015 governorship election under the platform of the Labour Party, LP.
Few weeks ago, palace source confirmed to insideoyo.com, Alao-Akala sent emissaries made up of his supporters to the monarch.
Sources confirmed that “they were well received by Kabiyesi. He even entertained them. He has agreed to host the former governor who is billed to visit anytime from now.”
