The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola, Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji; t; the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdul Rasheed Akanbi and other eminent personalities will be on ground tomorrow for the annual King Saheed Osupa Ramadan Lecture.
The lecture, organised by renowned fuji musician, Alhaji Saheed Okunola, popularly knowned as Saheed Osupa, is scheduled to hold at Mauve 21 Events Centre, Ibadan.
It has Sheikh Sannu Sheu Uthman as the guest lecturer who will be doing justice to the topic “The Role of Islam in Politics.”
According to Okunola, he has made the Ramadan lecture an annual event in order to use Islam to impact meaningfully on the society and particularly to right some wrongs that abound in it.
He said the society required periodic spiritual cleansing and one of the ways to go about this was organising programmes like this.
