The Akinremi Legacy Forum (ALF) on Friday, July 10, 2026, held a special prayer session in remembrance of the late Hon. Prince Olaide Akinremi, popularly known as Jagaban, to celebrate his life of service and commitment to the people.
The solemn gathering, which brought together family members, political associates, supporters, and admirers, was held to reflect on the late lawmaker’s legacy of humility, generosity, accessibility, and grassroots development.
During the session, clerics offered prayers for the peaceful repose of Hon. Akinremi’s soul, while attendees paid glowing tributes to his selfless service, compassionate leadership, and unwavering dedication to public good.
Members of the Forum reaffirmed their commitment to upholding the ideals for which the late Jagaban was known, stressing that his vision of unity and people-oriented leadership will continue to inspire present and future generations.
In a statement by Micheal Adegbuyi, Head, Media and Communications of Akinremi Legacy Forum, leadership expressed appreciation to Otunba Adeseye Famojuro, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, Barr. Lowo Obisesan, Hon. Shina Peller, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, Hon. Tosin Ayoade, and several other friends and associates for their continuous support since the lawmaker’s passing.
“Their unwavering solidarity has been instrumental in sustaining the activities of the Akinremi Legacy Forum and ensuring that the late Jagaban’s legacy of compassion, service, and leadership remains alive in the hearts of the people,” the Forum stated.
Hon. Olaide Akinremi, until his death, was widely regarded as a grassroots politician who prioritized the welfare of his constituents and community development across Oyo State.
