The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba (Dr) Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, Ige Olakulehin 1 has charged the newly installed Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Akinola Adekunle Alabi to use his position to attract more developmental projects to Ibadanland.
Oba Olakulehin gave the charge during the installation of Alabi as the Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday.
The installation of Alabi who represents Egbeda/ Ona Ara Federal constituency at the House of Representatives took place at Olubadan Palace located at Oke Aremo Ibadan.
The decoration of Alabi with Akoko leaves was done by the Oluwo of Ibadanland, Chief Abdulwahab Popoola.
Oba Olakulehin while speaking enjoined the Jagun Olubadan to use his position as a lawmaker and traditional title holder to attract more developmental projects to Ibadanland.
“You have been installed as the Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland today, there are hundreds of Mogajis (family heads) in Ibadanland before your choice.
“Your appointment and installation as Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland is as a result of your meaningful contributions to Ibadanland”.
“I want to charge you to continue to attract more developmental projects to Ibadanland. Do your best to bring more federal projects to Ibadanland”.
The event was attended by Oba Kolawole Adegbola, Otun Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi, Ashipa Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Hamidu Ajibade, Ekerin Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba John Isioye-Dada, Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Abiodun Azeez, Ashipa Balogun of Ibadanland, High Chief Akeem Bolaji Adewoyin, Ekerin Balogun of Ibadanland and High Chief Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, Ekaarun Balogun of Ibadanland.
Also present were members of House of Representatives, notable politicians, top Government functionaries among other dignitaries.
