While Governor Abiola Ajimobi was meeting the United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Stuart Symington, yesterday, he expressed the readiness to install the Closed Circuit Televisions (CCTVs) in Oyo state.
According to him, the state is trying to approach the security of the state using technology. However, in a bid to ensure the fulfilment of ‘state’s safe city’ project, the CCTVs will be installed in business-concentrated areas and other strategic areas within the state.
Ajimobi promised to set that on the go before the end of 2017.
Also, the governor revealed plans to set up emergency lines and command centre to respond to
security issues identified cum reported.
He sought further support of the US government in human capital development, social infrastructure, health among others.
In response, the US Ambassador, Symington asserted willingness of the US government to partnering with state governments towards improving socioeconomic wellbeing of people.
