The former Oyo state governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi has been picked as the New Deputy National Chairman South of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Ajimobi will replace the former governor of Ekiti State Otunba Niyi Adebayo who is now a minister.
According to reports, his appointment was ratified on Wednesday at the APC Southwest caucus meeting held in Osogbo.

The former governor is expected to use his new position to restore unity and take APC to another level in the South.
However, there were rumbles of the choice of Ajimobi by some top Southwest leaders and elders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at a meeting held last Friday at the Lagos State House, Marina.
