Ọba Gbenga Adigun Adéòye Oyetunji Oyinlola II, Ààrẹ Alawo Ekun Ofiki, has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to go ahead with the appointment of Alhaji Ahmed Raji SAN as a minister adding that he’s a philanthropist beyond political borders.
Oba Adéòye said Raji is an illustrious son of Oke Ogun in Oyo state who’s highly respected and regarded by everyone.
The traditional ruler made this known in a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday, in Ofiki, ATISBO local government area.
This is coming following a viral publication by suspected political jobbers who were grumbling against the nomination of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria as Minsiter.
While calling on the jobbers to stop the act, Oba Adéòye urged President Tinubu to ignore the political jobbers.
The statement read: “Ahmed Raji Esa Oke SAN is a philanthropist beyond the political borders that surpass any politician in Oke Ogun and Oyo State as a whole. He’s our illustrious son that is highly protected and respected.
“I implore any political jobber(s) to distance themselves from attacking him.
“Any attack on him is attacking on all Oke Ogun indigenes.
“However, I urge President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to go ahead to appoint him as a substantial Hon Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“I assure the whole Nation that he’s a strong believer of God and a Humanitarian. He understood the travails of the nation and would assist Asiwaju Omo Olodo Ide in the discharge of his duties without fear or favour.”
