Oyo state Governor-elect, Engineer Seyi Makinde on Tuesday, received the new French Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Pasquier Jerome, and the Consular General, Mr Poloncacox Laurent in Ibadan, the state capital.
InsideOyo.com gathered that the purpose of the visit is to build a productive relationship with Oyo state and Nigeria in different fields, including political, economy, sports, cultural and education.
Members of Governor-elect team that received Mr Jerome Pasquire include the Deputy Governor-elect, Rauf Olaniyan; the Chairman of Seyi Makinde’s Transition committee, Hosea Ayoola Agboola; the spokesperson to Seyi Makinde, Prince Dotun Oyelade and others.
A post on his official twitter account reads “Today, I received the French Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Pasquier Jerome, and the Consular General, Mr Poloncacox Laurent at my Ibadan residence.
“As we countdown to the start of our Government, we continue to reach out to both local and international investors with the message that Oyo State is open for business.
“One thing we all agreed upon are the myriad of opportunities in Oyo State.”
