The results from 32 Local Government Areas out of the 33 LGAs in Oyo state showed that Seyi Makinde, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is leading Adebayo Adelabu of the All Progressive Congress (APC) with over a hundred thousand votes.
With the results announced so far by the collations officers, Makinde polled 481,176 votes to beat his closest contestant, Adebayo Adelabu of the All Progressives Congress, who scored 339,801 votes.

Out of the 32 LGAs declared, PDP won in 27 while APC won in five
Insideoyo.com gathered that the only local government yet to be collated is Ibadan South West local government.
