As the scramble for political offices heighten in the nation a prominent group in the All Progressives Congress (APC), the All Progressives Congress Grassroot Movement (APCGM) Southwest has made a case for one of its leaders and sponsors, Chief (Dr) Azeez Popoola Adeduntan to be appointed as minister from Oyo by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement through its Southwest Coordinator, Muyiwa Odubiyi and Woman Leader, Abosede Ogungbayi, it is important for Adeduntan to be appointed minister by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the next Federal Executive Council (FEC).
Adeduntan who was a governorship aspirant in the state under the All Progressive Congress (APC), is currently the Osi Bashorun of Ibadanland.
The stated that Adeduntan, a world foremost cardio vascular surgeon can be lined in the category of successful Nigeria professionals like Akinwunmi Adesina, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, Aminat Mohammed among others.
APCGM calls on the President not to be distracted by minority of individuals and groups who are making false claims and comments on social media.
It explained that Adeduntan as a true party man worked for the electoral success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu even though he was schemed out by political fraudster in what was termed “Jagba” by political watchers and analysts.
“For our nations to rise again on her feet, Mr President needs every Nigerians who can add values and bring improved sanity to the nations sectoral life. We then recommend and present Dr Azeez Popoola Adeduntan as one Nigeria professional who has excelled in the medical field and is acknowledge around the world.” it concluded.
Meanwhile, the media office of Dr Azeez Popoola Adeduntan has reacted to a recent online report by a group believed to had been sponsored a politician in the state.
The release stated that “our principal would not had reacted to such but it becomes necessary to set the record straight.”
“Ordinarily we will not have responded to this gabbage ,but let us set the record straight.
“1. It is on record that an illegal Congress was foisted on OYO STATE in 2021 October 30th by rogue elements in the APC in cahoot with NWC.
“2.It is also on record that the PRIMARY that brought forth OYO GOVERNORSHIP flag bearer was fraudulent as the delegates list used was altered and manipulated.
“3.It is also true that the flag bearer of the party SENATOR TESLIM FOLARIN worked openly for ex VP OSINBAJO against the founder of the party BOLA AHMED TINUBU in the presidential primary.
“4.It is also true that DR Azeez ADEDUNTAN worked for BOLA AHMED TINUBU electorally and financially since 2021 through the Next LEVEL FORUM as a foundation member founded by CHIEF Oladipo Oladosu as well as through press releases, canvassing of voters and media engagements since October 2020 to encourage TINUBU to run for president.
“5.As at the time of election, on February 25th 2023,APC had collapsed in OYO STATE, but ADEDUNTAN stood firmly by BOLA AHMED TINUBU while renegade elements within the party stood firmly behind ATIKU ,since VP OSINBAJO lost woefully at the primary.
“6.The success of APC National Assembly candidates in OYO STATE On February 25th was through bandwagon effect Of BOLA AHMED TINUBU, as evidenced by total annihilation by PDP at state level 2 weeks after.
“7. APC OYO disappeared after the fraudulent Congress of the party in October 30th 2021 as well as the fraudulent primaries of March/MAY of 2022.
“8. While BOLA AHMED TINUBU advised TESLIM FOLARIN-the GOVERNORSHIP candidate to go into constructive engagements with other aspirants, he mistook the electoral victory of BAT as his own.
“9.HE that is asking for equity must come with clean hands.
No oyo APC again at this time.
“10.To move forward,the present execo must be dissolved and new OYO APC rebranded.”
