Ibadan South West Local Government indigene and US Navy Veteran, Abayomi Fagbenro popularly known as Bibire, on Friday declared his intention to run for Federal House of Representatives to represent Ibadan Southwest/ Ibadan North West Federal constituency in the 2023 general elections.
The declaration which was made at the PDP Ibadan North West LG meeting held at Ebenezer Primary School, Adamasingba Ibadan.
Abayomi Fagbenro Bibire who is an advocate for ‘Good Governance’, is also the YDP candidate for the House of Representative to represent Ibadan South West/Ibadan North West Federal Constituency at the 2019 general elections.
According to Hon. Abayomi Fagbenro Bibiire, explained that after wide consultation, announced his intention to run for the Federal House of Representative to represent Ibadan Southwest/Ibadan North West Federal constituency at the upcoming general elections in 2023 on the platform of the People’s Democratic party (PDP).
The statement further read: “I have decided to answer the call of teeming youth & my dearly respected Constituents who believe in me and have asked me to run for Federal House of Representative to represent them”.
“Its you and I involvement that can achieve this clarion assignment together, without your support, I can’t do anything and the time is now” he said”.
“Accordingly, after wide consultation and seeking the face of God, I hereby announce my intention to run for the Federal House of Representative to represent Ibadan South West /Ibadan North West Federal Constituency in the coming General Elections in 2023 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)”.
“I do so with the firm conviction that I have what it takes to secure inclusive growth for my constituency and making bills that will make life better for my people”.
“Abayomi Fagbenro now enjoin the electorates to continue supporting PDP led government by the Executive Governor of Oyo State His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde because of his achievements in building a new Oyo State with how he has been doing in transforming, developing and delivering good governance in the state which are part of the reason I wish to contribute my own quota”.
“He also describe PDP as the only party in Nigeria with sincere commitment to the uplift of the people and there is no other party in Oyo State except the great PDP.
Bibire had been rumoured as a potential 2023 aspirant for several weeks, making Fridays pronouncement more ceremonial than remarkable.
Dignitaries presents at the declaration are: Alh. Wasiu Adeleke; Oyo State PDP Secretary, Hon. Michael Ogunsina; PDP State Youth Leader, Pastor Biodun Popoola; Asst. State Organising Secretary PDP, Alh. Lukman Adesina (Sa ba nmu); Ibadan North West PDP Chairman and all Local Government Excos among other PDP chieftains.
