Rotarian Oba Adéòye Gbenga Adigun, the Aare Alawo Ekun Ofiki of Ofiki Land, has congratulated the Speaker of the Oyo state House of Assembly, Rt Hon Adebo Ogundoyin over his emergence as the Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria.
The traditional ruler in a statement on Saturday, described the emergence of Ogundoyin as the right man for the job adding that his experience as a second-term Speaker will be helpful.
Oba Adéòye who’s also the President of Rotary Club of Ibadan City Central said the speaker will be the special guest of honor of the club.
The club is organizing the 2023 International Day Of Peace with the theme ‘Actions for Peace: Our Ambition for the #GlobalGoals’.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, 21st of September 2023 by 10am at the House of Chiefs, Agodi Secretariat, Ibadan.
The event which is joint project of Rotary Clubs in Ibadan initiated by Rotary Club of Ibadan City Central would feature presentations from peace experts, security outfits as well from rotary.
Stakeholders expected are delegates of Transport workers, religious organizations, security outfits, traders, organized labour, students, Miyetti Allah group, farmers association among others.
