Ambassador Abdulsabur Abiola Olawore on Friday joined the Muslim community and sympathizers to mourn the demise of the prominent Islamic leader in Ibadan, Khalifah Sheikh Muritadha Adisa Olanase.
Sheikh Muritadha Adisa Olanase died last Tuesday at Lanase Aremo, the family’s ancestral home at the age of 84.
Ambassador Olawore, a certified Civil Engineer, who is also an Ibadan Mogaji during his visit described the late scion as an exemplary Islamic leader who upheld his late father, Sheikh Usman Akanbi Olanese ’s legacies in Islamic and Quranic education.
“I offer my deepest sympathies to the Olanase family and the Olanase Islamic movement on the sad loss of Khalifa Sheikh Muritadha Adisa who is a great scholar. I share your pain and ask Allah to comfort you in the difficult days ahead. May Allah elevate the Khalifa to the rank of the favored in Aljanah and forgive his earthly infractions.
In appreciation of his condolence visit, the Chief Imam of Omituntun Central Mosque, Alhaji Mojeed Olanase thanked Ambassador Olawore for finding it worthy to commensurate with the Olanase family over the loss of their Khalifa.
