Olawepo-Hashim, on Thursday, in Abuja gave out seven cars to members of his staff to ameliorate their sufferings and security concerns.
He also urged govt, especially at the local level to provide shuttle buses to make transportation easier for citizens.
According to him, “I was moved to give out the vehicles following the harrowing experiences the beneficiaries have had to deal with in the course of using unconducive and unsafe transportation.”
He recounted how one of the beneficiaries, a woman and her child, barely survived after they fell off a commercial motorcycle while coming to worship.
He also noted that passengers and commuters have been subjected to attacks because of the insecure nature of the transport system, especially in the Federal Capital territory, FCT
Olawepo-Hashim equally maintained that the provision of the safe shuttle buses would not just ease movement and commuting, but also ensure some sense of security.
Some of the beneficiaries of the cars include Taiye Godstime Atolagbe; Funke Samuel; Elizabeth Ola; Felix Gabriel; Vivian Metu; Bulus Alika and Abdulrahaman Abdulganiyu.
The elated beneficiaries were united in their appreciation of the kind gesture and prayed for continued “grace and blessings” on Mr. Olawepo-Hashim.
