More than 5,000 aggrieved members of the party have rejoined the party in Oyo State, the Chairman of the Oyo Reconciliatory Committee, Lowo Obisesan, has said.
According to a report by The Nation, he said hosting the governors and state chairmen across the country by President Buhari showed that he didn’t send the committee to reconcile aggrieved members alone, but also showed qualities of a good leader.
The committee under the umbrella of APC reformer, which comprises political appointees, former members of the state and national assemblies, former commissioners, ex-special advisers, other aides to former governor Abiola Ajimobi and other faithful leaders of the party urged the leaders to drop their ambitions to enable the reconciliation to work.
Last week President Muhammadu Buhari met the governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the state chairmen of the party to resolve memebers’ grievances.
