Federal House of Representatives aspirant and two-term Oyo State House of Assembly member, who represented Ibadan North Constituency 2, Hon. Olusegun Olaleye (Radical), has penned a tribute for the late Hon. Musiliu Olaide Akinremi Jagaban, who represented Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, as it has now been 41 days since his passing.
In his tribute message, Hon. Olusegun Olaleye described Hon. Musiliu Olaide Akinremi Jagaban’s time on earth as one defined by service, compassion, and remarkable generosity.
The tribute reads: “It has now been 41 days since the untimely departure of Hon. Musiliu Olaide Akinremi, fondly known as ‘Jagaban,’ a man whose presence and impact remain vivid in the hearts of those he touched.
“His life was one of service, compassion, and remarkable generosity.
“As a public office holder, humanist, and philanthropist, Hon. Akinremi lived with a singular mission—to uplift others and make life more meaningful for people.
“Hon. Musiliu Olaide Akinremi’s legacy is not just in the policies he implemented or the positions he held but in the countless lives he transformed.
“He made significant strides in the political sphere, yet his work as a businessman and philanthropist further cemented his reputation as a man of the people.
“His unrelenting efforts to make life easier for many, through his various empowerment initiatives and support programs, earned him the title ‘Jagaban’—a title that signifies leadership, strength, and, above all, influence for good. His positive impact will be felt for generations to come.
“Personally, Hon. Akinremi was not only a respected member of the Federal House of Representatives but also a beloved brother and friend to me.
“He showed me a level of undiluted love that I will cherish forever. His warmth and generosity knew no bounds, and his humanitarian lifestyle will always be remembered.
“Hon. Akinremi truly exemplified the essence of the ‘Jagaban’ title, not just in name but in the way he consistently made a difference in people’s lives.
“The people of Ibadan North Federal Constituency, and indeed all of Oyo State, will forever hold him in high esteem for being a representative who always had his people’s interests at heart.
“His numerous empowerment programs are a testament to his commitment to public service.
“His outstanding performance during his first term earned him the trust and loyalty of his people, who re-elected him for a second term, confident in his ability to represent their interests.
“His passing is a painful loss, felt not only by the people of Ibadan North Federal Constituency but also by all of Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
“His life’s work as a public servant, philanthropist, and business leader will continue to inspire all who knew him.
“We pray that Almighty God continues to protect the family he left behind and grants him Aljanah Firdaus.
