The management of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan has, commended the Oyo State Government for its support to the team during the first round of the Nigeria National League (NNL).
They also expressed appreciation to all the supporters, fans and lovers of the club worldwide for their unflinching backing to the team
In a statement issued by Tosin Omojola, Media Officer of Shooting Stars Fc Ibadan, and signed by the Executive Chairman of the club, Alhaji Gbolagade Busari, the management praised the government for providing the funds and every other thing needed for a hitch free prosecution of the first round.
“It is an understatement to say, that we enjoyed the financial and moral backing of the government, in terms of provision of funds and other things needed to prosecute our matches in the first round.
‘That was one of the reason why you see the players and the coaches doing their best, because they were not short of motivation,” the management stated.
It equally appreciated the supporters, fans and lovers of the club across the globe, for being behind the team all though the first stanza, a development the management said played a positive role in spurring the team to excel.
As the second stanza commences this weekend, the management solicited for more support from the government and the entire supporters and fans, stressing that such would go a long way in ensuring that the team achieves the task ahead.
The 3SC management, however, promised never to let the government and the people of Oyo state as well as the supporters and fans of the Oluyole Warriors down, saying that a return to the elite league was not negotiable.
