The lawmaker representing Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Engr. (Dr.) Aderemi Abass Oseni, has vowed to mobilize at least one million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general election.
Oseni made the pledge on Saturday during the first anniversary and endorsement rally of the ROCOF Progressive Workers and Traders Association in Ibadan, Oyo State, declaring that no amount of harassment, intimidation, or political pressure would deter the movement from achieving its mission.
In his goodwill message, the federal lawmaker who also serves as convener of the ROCOF said the movement, which started as a modest advocacy group, has grown into a powerful socio-political force spreading across all 33 local government areas of Oyo State and gaining national recognition.
He described ROCOF as “a covenant with destiny,” committed to restoring Oyo State and Nigeria to the path of progress through the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu.
“ROCOF is not a mere slogan, it is a covenant with destiny,” Oseni said.
“We are the vanguard of a new Oyo, a state that must be liberated from misrule and restored to progress. No more shall PDP rule beyond 2027. The people have tasted the difference, and they are ready for genuine leadership under the APC.”
The lawmaker assured members that ROCOF remains steadfast in its mission to secure Tinubu’s re-election and reclaim Oyo State for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.
“We are unstoppable,” he declared.
“There’s no amount of intimidation, harassment, or blackmail that can stop this movement. This is not about personal ambition; it’s about liberating the people and giving them renewed hope.”
Highlighting the organization’s Six-Point Agenda, Oseni said ROCOF has become a beacon of empowerment through its Soludero Movement, which has touched lives across communities by promoting economic inclusion, education, and grassroots development. He reaffirmed his commitment to workers, traders, and youths, describing them as the backbone of Oyo State’s progress.
“Women are the lifeblood of our local economy, the pillars of democracy and family stability,” he said.
“That’s why our strongest commitment is to their empowerment. Likewise, our youths must no longer be bystanders in politics. They are the torchbearers of tomorrow, and we are preparing them not only to vote but to contest, to lead, and to transform.”
Speaking on national policies, Oseni commended President Tinubu for introducing the Student Loan Scheme, which he said would democratize access to education and empower young Nigerians. Drawing from personal experience, he noted that his journey to becoming a structural engineer was possible because of the free education policy of former Governor Bola Ige, adding that Tinubu’s student loan policy now represents a similar lifeline for today’s generation.
“Education liberated me,” Oseni recalled. “It is not a function of grades but enlightenment. Once you can read and write, you are free from the prison of ignorance. That’s why President Tinubu’s student loan initiative deserves our collective appreciation, it will open doors for millions of Nigerian youths.”
Oseni charged all ROCOF members to intensify grassroots mobilization, voter education, and unity across communities in preparation for the 2027 elections. He urged them to reject political inducements, uphold integrity, and remain steadfast in their loyalty to the APC and the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Earlier in his address, the Coordinator of ROCOF Progressive Workers and Traders Association, Alhaji Munirudeen Adegoke Rauf, praised Hon. Oseni for his visionary leadership and philanthropy, noting that his ₦100 million empowerment support to the Blacksmith, Welders, Iron Benders, and Metal Technicians Association of Nigeria (BWIAN) in 2024 inspired the establishment of ROCOF as a broader grassroots platform.
Rauf described Oseni as “a man of integrity and compassion” who represents the interests of artisans, traders, students, and civil servants across the state. He also reaffirmed the group’s total support for President Tinubu’s second-term bid and Oseni’s growing political influence in Oyo State.
“We have found in him a man of the people, a man of traders, of artisans, of students, of both civil and public servants,” Rauf said.
“We believe in the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and in Hon. Oseni’s leadership to drive Oyo State toward prosperity.”
