The First Lady of Oyo state, Mrs Tamunominini Makinde, on Friday, played host to a support group, Tamunominini Olufunke Makinde Team (TOMT), charging them to continue to strive as one bond till victory is achieved in the 2023 election.
Mrs. Makinde made the call while hosting
the Tamunominini Olufunke Makinde Team (TOMT) at her residence in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.
She said: “I so much appreciate you all for making it to this stage. I didn’t believe it will come to reality when we first started. We started with crawling and here are we today, we can fly.
“However, I’m using this privilege to charge you all to continue to strive and push till we make it to the end. You should share the message of love and never let your guard down.”
Also speaking at the event, a member of the House Of Assembly representing Ibadan North – East/Ibadan South-East Federal Constituency, Hon. Abass Adigun better known as Agboworin, charged the members to continue to work across the nooks and crannies of the state, till victory is ascertained.
He said further: “I have heard about your works and how you have been ensuring that our Governor win in the coming election. I however, want to implore you to do more and spread your movement across all polling unit to ensure success at the election”
While speaking on behalf of the TOMT, the State Coordinator, Mrs Bukola Adeyemi, appreciated the wife of the Governor for her support for the group.
She promised to continue to do more to ensure victory at the coming election.
She said: “We appreciate our mummy, Mrs Tamunominini Makinde for being supportive over time. We want to assure her that we will never disappoint her and by the grace of God, victory is sure to be delivered.
“We have been making moves to ensure victory as we have mobilizers and canvassers across all polling units of the 33 local governments and we know that we will not disappoint our excellency.” She said.
Also at the event was a courtesy visit of the Peculiar Widow Forum to the wife of the Oyo State Governor.
Other dignitaries present at the event includes the Vice Chairman of Ibadan South East local government, Hon Olaoluwa Teslim Ogundeji, Hon. Babatunde Tijani among others.
